Tips for Enjoying Your Camera
by Obie Elkova

Until recently the most popular camera was the 35 millimeter
single-lens reflex (SLR) film camera. These are still used
by most professional photographers because of the great
quality of the pictures.
The negative aspect of this kind of camera is that, unless
you have your own darkroom, you must use the services of a
professional lab. For an amateur wanting to use film, the
110 mm cameras is cheaper and easy enough for anyone to use.
There are even disposable, one-use types. The quality of the
photos is not quite as good, but it is excellent for a
beginner who wants to take a few snaps or for situations
where you wouldn't want to risk using a more expensive
camera.
Time to Go Digital?
Once with the development of technology, this domain has
made incredible progress. Digital cameras are now more and
more complicated. They are now equipped with card memories
in which, depending on their capacity, you can stores a lot
of photos. You can take pictures in different sizes and even
adjust the level of details, textures or shadows.
While new better cameras appeared on the market, the old
ones disappeared or their prices went down to a reasonable
level. Now you can easily and inexpensively buy a digital
camera with quality comparable or even better than the old
35 millimeter ones. Some pros believe that film cameras will
be almost obsolete within 10 years.
When the camera technology is advancing so quickly, it is
obvious that the technology used to handle these digital
pictures must advance as well. It used to be a problem for
people who wanted prints from their digital photos. But now
you can easily download your photos and print them yourself
or visit a camera or discount store with a small kiosk
housing a printer and a reader for digital camera memory
cards or sticks and have them printed there. Most Wal-Mart
stores, for example, have these and you can get your
pictures printed while taking care of other shopping.
Either way, this is an effective solution if you don't have
your own printer. Nowadays the benefits to digital photos
tend to outweigh the disadvantages. One key advantage is the
ability to share these photos quickly and easily with family
and friends worldwide via email and the World Wide Web.
