If you love to travel and play golf then you can
combine the two activities and visit Scotland for
a wonderful vacation. Scotland offers some of the
most beautiful golf courses that can be found any
where on this earth. As a devoted golfer you can
appreciate the beauty of these golf courses, and
you can take advantage of Scotland~s vacations,
and golf packages. You can even go on a tour, some
of which include the splendid St Andrews, the holy
grail of golf. This is the location where the
first game of golf was ever played.

If you decide to take a golfing vacation in
Scotland, there is just no doubt at all you will
be able to embark on some of the most challenging
golfing experiences around. With this in mind,
Europeans, Americans and even Australians make the
trek to Scotland on a weekly basis, with the sole
purpose of taking up this once in a lifetime
challenge.

Two of Scotland~s oldest and most famous golf
courses are found at the Royal Troon and St.
Andrews. Both courses feature on the playlist for
the famous British open and St Andrews in
particular, gives amateurs and professionals from
across the globe a sanctuary to gather together
and play golf.

Outside of nature making its changes to the golf
course at St Andrews this course has remained
virtually unchanged for the last two hundred
years. The St Andrews golf course was founded in
1764 and is a course made mainly by nature.

Between the hotels and country homes you have to
choose from there are unlimited possibilities of
where to stay when you vacation in Scotland. There
are also many resorts to choose from. If you
prefer, some hotels include the green fees and
transportation fees in packages that you can
purchase with your rooms.

Golf is one of the main reasons that people visit
Scotland year after year. With the popularity of
golfing holidays continuing to rise, Scotland is
likely to see an ongoing demand for holiday
packages that include golf activities, tourist
activities like visiting castles and taverns and
generally seeing the sites of the region. When you
plan your next golfing holiday you should ensure
that Scotland is included as one of your options.
