Remember Your Vacations with Souvenirs!

Vacations are something that everyone looks forward to all
year long. They are times to free yourself from most of
your responsibilities, relax, be adventurous, and
make memories that last forever. Collecting vacation
souvenirs is one way to stay connected with your
vacationing experiences year-round.

Pictures of vacations are the way most of us prefer to
be reminded of our memories. We prefer them because they
feature images of us and our loved ones having fun!

It doesn't matter whether you use a disposable camera
that you picked up at a convenience store, or the latest
electronic gear available at specialty shops or online,
it's easy to get great pictures of the things you love
most during your vacations. Choose the imaging medium
that is best and easiest for you, and have at it!

Do you think those wildflowers would look good in a vase
or pressed in your scrapbook? They probably would, but
make sure they aren't protected by State or Federal law,
or your souvenir from "Mother Nature's Flower Stand,"
may be confiscated with you getting a ticket or some
jail time instead!

You don't have to choose between souvenirs and your next
meal if you plan a souvenir budget as part of your overall
vacation budget and stick to it. Souvenirs don't have to
be expensive to be meaningful.

If you collect spoons, matchbooks, coins, lapel pins,
stickers, or any number of other similar items, you
can probably find something that is unique to your
vacation site for your collection. Ask around for
the places you can get exactly what it is that you
collect.

Please don't make your vacations all about snagging the
coolest souvenirs. Vacations are for having fun and for
taking a break from your usual reality for a few days.
Keep souvenir shopping in its place during vacations by
sticking to a budget and sticking to items that you're
certain will bring you pleasure or satisfaction for
years to come!
